Heidi Scheer, a Michigan based author
and beauty pageant winner partnered with Michigan based CandiceFoods to create
a non-GMO, organic, and allergy-friendly energy bar, specifically designed for
children with food allergies or for those who have special diets. Scheer is the
current Mrs. Great Lakes International pageant winner and is the co-author of
“Evolution of a Revolution: From Hope to Healing,” which is a book on how
families manage children with autism. As a mother who has a son with autism,
Scheer was inspired to create a healthy snack for children who suffer from
developmental health issues. As a result, Team TMR Chocolate Chip and Trail Mix
protein bar was created with chocolate chips, protein, and other healthy
ingredients. Proceeds from the bar will benefit Team TMR autism family grant
program.
