Summary: GameStop recently ended a promotion to bump the sales for PC gaming. The title of the release is lacking, simply making a statement that "GameStop.com is the destination for your PC gaming needs," and mentions nothing about why or how until you get to the subtitle or the article itself. The point of the release is to let gamers know that GameStop is going to be pushing their online PC downloads, versus carrying hard copies in the stores as they generally do. Because this is a service that has been offered strongly by Steam and other like services, the fact that GameStop is breaking into this service offering is newsworthy, but the release itself is particularly boring to read. This would be newsworthy for a trade magazine and the gamer scene, but not much else (even my gamer husband was lackluster when it came to excitement about this service).
